Target Audience

This intensive course is designed for gynecology trainees who have completed intermediate skills training in laparoscopic surgery and wish to develop skills and techniques in performing advanced procedures in laparoscopic surgery.

Purpose of Training

  • Understand the pelvic and retroperitoneal anatomy under laparoscopy
  • Develop the skills in pelvic and retroperitoneal dissection
  • Master the techniques in radical excision of deep infiltrating endometriosis

Course Features

  • Lectures and hands-on skill training on cadavers and animals
  • Provide high-quality anatomy teaching on animal/cadaver that focuses on a laparoscopic approach to pelvic anatomy

Methods of the Training

  • Classroom lectures & Hands-on practices with animals and cadaver.  During hands-on session, participants will be divided into small groups and the trainers will support & guidance for each station.

Selection Criteria

  1. First Priority to gynecology trainees who have completed intermediate skills training in laparoscopic surgery and have done more than 10 laparoscopic surgeries as a chief surgeon per month.
  2. Interest in gynecologic endoscopy and desire to develop the skills in advanced laparoscopic surgery.
  3. Recommendation from your head of department or international society.

Course Fee: USD$1,000

The course fee will be waived with full attendance and completion of the whole workshop. In addition, APGET will also support the following expense:
